Freelance Audio Recording Contributor (Internal Team Don't Apply)
Indian Train Sim is looking for individuals with access to good quality microphones or smartphones who regularly travel on trains and can capture authentic, high-quality audio recordings for simulation purposes. Responsibilities • Record authentic sounds from LHB coaches, ICF coaches, freight wagons, ALCO locomotives, and WAP, WDM, WDP, and WDG series locomotives. • Ensure recordings are clear and free from excessive background noise, wind noise, conversations, or other disturbances. • Submit recordings in the required format and quality standards. Requirements • Access to a good quality microphone or smartphone capable of producing clear recordings. • Ability to capture sounds responsibly without disturbing passengers, railway staff, or the public. • Commitment to following all applicable laws, railway regulations, and safety guidelines. • Personal safety and the safety of others must always take priority. Submission Requirements • Only original recordings captured by the contributor will be accepted. • Audio downloaded from YouTube, social media platforms, or any third-party sources is strictly prohibited. • Every submission must include: o Recorder's name. o Recording location. o Train information. o Details of the coach, wagon, or locomotive from which the recording was captured. • Recordings should be as clean as possible and must avoid unnecessary air noise or excessive background disturbances. • Contributors are encouraged to provide multiple recordings under different operating conditions whenever possible. Authenticity and Verification • False, misleading, edited, AI-generated, or misrepresented submissions will be rejected. • Contributors are responsible for ensuring that all recordings are their own work. • Indian Train Simulator reserves the right to verify the authenticity and quality of any submission. • Any submission that does not meet quality, authenticity, or documentation requirements may be rejected without obligation. Safety and Compliance All recordings must be obtained lawfully and safely. Contributors must comply with all railway rules and regulations and ensure that no action compromises their own safety or the safety of people around them. Recording activities must not interfere with railway operations, passengers, or railway staff. Communication Communication regarding contributions and submissions will be conducted exclusively through Discord. No support or submission requests will be accepted through other channels. Indian Train Simulator reserves the right to accept, reject, or discontinue contributions at its sole discretion.
